The surface features the traditional Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern, a motif used in Japanese design since the Heian period over a millennium ago. Historically woven into fabrics, the Asanoha pattern symbolizes vigorous growth and good health, especially for the young. Its sharply defined geometric facets create a rich texture and subtle gradation, shifting beautifully as the light moves across the dial.
