Seiko Prospex Alpinist
In 2006, Seiko launched a trio of models that resurrected the Alpinist name from a line of watches engineered for Japanese mountain climbers from 1961 to 1964, the Laurel Alpinist. Alson known as "the Japanese Explorer" which made it immensely popular since the 2006 launch of the first three Alpinist models. In 2019 Seiko came out with upgrade versions for both the International Market and JDM where the crystal material is finally changed from hardlex to sapphire crystal and the movement from 6R15 to 6R35 increasing the power reserve from 50 to 70 hours.
