The latest release of the Philippine Limited Edition Prospex transcends the conventional realm of timekeeping. In collaboration with Save The Ifugao Terraces Movement (SITMo), a non-stock, non-profit organization established by the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement, Seiko spearheads an initiative to contribute to the preservation and conservation of the threatened Banaue Rice Terraces.
The endangered heritage site faces constant deterioration, prompting Seiko to allocate a portion of the proceeds from the new watch sales to support SITMo's noble cause. According to SITMo, their vision is dedicated to ensuring that the Banaue Rice Terraces will remain a robust source of food security, cultural heritage, and biodiversity for both present and future generations.
